1961 Fire Truck

1961 Thibault Pumper fire truck

A Dundas Star article published on August 30, 1961 reads:
“The New Pumper Arrives in Dundas

Fire Chief Albert Euesden is proudly showing off his new pumper at the Fire Hall.

It was on display at the Canadian Association of Fire Chief’s convention last week in Kitchener.

As soon as the new pumper passes the Canadian Underwriter’s tests it will be officially turned over to the town.

The new 28-foot pumper has a pumping capacity of 1,050 gallons of water per minute, a 400 gallon stainless steel tank and twin reels.

In every way, it is a very fine piece of equipment and something that the Chief and Firemen may be very proud of.”
